As a result of the political and military events that ravaged Yemen, Salafism in Yemen witnessed divisions and discrepancies in theses, where part of the group was satisfied with religious social activity, and some tended toward partisan work, while the rest of them joined the extremist militant ideology. All these events developed to a point where nothing could unite the group any longer other than the claim that they are all representing the Salafist Daawa, while its manifold practices indicate otherwise.

This paper highlights the emergence of the Salafi movement in Yemen. Its most prominent symbols, schools, currents, ideological trends, and the transformations it experienced, and the challenges it faces.
